the funny thing is I think I remember reading that book, years ago. I'd compleately forgotten about it. Thanks for the ideas though.

About the computers and lasers. Since you have Nukes been used everywere, most government would develop a Star wars program. This means that high energy weapons would certainly be researched, and targetting would also be necesarry. Targetting ICBMs requires a lot of compuetr power. So actually you's have a huge push towars developing these technologies even in your world.
Since you're fishing for ideas, you could go for separating the powers on what they focus on:
Nazis: Occult (undead and unstoppable hordes).
Russians: Psi-Corps
Allies: High-Tech. Remember the Roswell crash.
So you could have the Russians maintaining safe from aggression through the threat of psi/assasins (you can't really hide from them). The allies are using really high tech to control the skies and seas. And the Nazis have unstoppable hordes of easily "repaired" veteran troops (ala Ranks of Bronze by David Drake).
also, think about what would happen to the third world. I'd guess they'd become the pieces in the new global chess game. So you colud have intrigue in these places. Also, they are the only source of radioactive-free fod sources.
