Alternate PDF Sales Outlets

For you guys, Morrus, you might not even have to look at legal action. Just a press release stating that EN Publishing will no longer make their products available at SV Games due to disagreements and issues with payment and then list anywhere else fine ENP products are sold. Considering the huge traffic that you guys have, that should be enough to spread the word and cause a bit of difficulty for SV.
That, however, could easily be cause for legal action. It's the "issues with payment" that could get you into a hell of a lot of trouble, legally.

Correction - we received one payment one month after our products went up for sale at SVGames.

However, we have had no further updates as to sales figures or numbers, and a complete lack of response to repeated emails and phone calls.

Well, I just sent yet another email to SV Games asking them to remove our products and pay us for any sales they may have made over the last couple of years. Not holding out much hope for a reply, though.

I also notice that the ENP list at SVGames includes a couple of Goodman Games and Dark Quest Games products (products we sold for them until a few months ago). I've dropped them a note, too, to let them know that their products are being sold by an unauthorised distributor.

SV Games and other thoughts

On the SV Games issue, email is probably not enough as they can claim to have never recieved it. I would start off with a written letter (recorded delivery) threatening legal action if they do not a) give you sales figures for your products and renumerate you and b) remove your products from their site.

If they do not respond in 14 days, I would then seek legal advice and get a solicitor to write to them (may cost a small amount).

If they still do not respond I would seriously consider a small claims court action against them.

As for other sites, firstly 40-50% is not that great a cut, as in traditional publishing you would be lucky to get that as your share. Also there are a number of web packages out there that will allow you to sell PDF's using paypal. I would look at these as an option.

Heh.... they received my emails just fine back when they were courting me to switch EN World's support from RPGShop/RPGNow over to SV Games. Selective email problems, or just coincidence? :)

What else? I seem to recall that Atlas would be opening a PDF version of their Warehouse 23 store, but haven't seen anything yet. Is there anyone else?

Um, you mean Steve Jackson Games' e23? Yeah, they have been talking about it, but it's been mired down in technical difficulties and issues for months.

I was in the office for a game of Groo (which I won, thank you very much) right before Christmas and Steve showed me the e23 site on his computer. I have no clue when they'll be opening the site but it was in better shape than I had seen if before.
