Alternate Types of Liches?

Besides the tired PHB version, there's the Suel-Lich, which is partly negative energy and the Gemlorn from Crystalmancy: the Powers of Gems, (put your soul in a body of crystal) which is a good alternative for non-evil characters, but the flavor doesn't leave it very open for just general wizards.

Anyone have another type of lich that isn't encompassed by these three?

Because my game is always low level, my Lich template pretty much boils down to giving the lich DR 5/blunt or good. I don't change the base CR; I just build a necromancer wizard otherwise, let the spells do the work.

There are some more types in Monsters of Faerun, including alternative powers for the standard Lich and the Alhoon (Illithilich) and Good Lichs (ArchLich and Baelnorn)

There's also the options in Secret College of Necromancy by Green Ronin. <Quicklich or 'lifelike lich' and a few other variants.>

If you can get your hands on it pick up the 2e AD&D Van Rickten's Guide to Liches. It covers the traditional arcane lich along with additional abilities they can pick up over the ages. It also covers Divine Liches and Psionic Liches. I still use that book for inspiration on new BBEGs.
