Alternatives to Alea Tools?

First Post
I'll be starting a 4th Edition D&D game in September, and I've been considering picking up some Alea Tools. The trouble is, I live in Canada, and with their already high shipping fees, plus an extra charge for international shipping, I'm looking at $20 in shipping fees alone on this order:

One-Inch Ultimate Token Master's Pack - 24.99
One-Inch Neo-Markers - Game Master Pack 01 - 14.99
One-Inch Neo-Markers - Game Master Pack 02 - 14.99
One-Inch Neo-Markers - Game Master Pack 03 - 14.99

Does anyone know of any good alternatives to Alea Tools that won't run me $100?

Litko Aerosystems make excellent game markers in plastic.

A set of 4E markers, a set of effect markers for defender marks/Hunter's quarry/Eldritch curse, a set of Bloodied markers and maybe a set of fire/shock/acid splatter markers will cost app. 40$ + shipping.

It is very entertaining when the Fighter marks a monster and then the radioactivity marker is slipped beneath it. When a PC or monster gets bloodied you can see it leaking blood with the Bloodied marker.

There's plenty of other companies offering tokens of various sorts, although you might have the same shipping problems. However, I'm not aware of any alternatives that enjoy the beautiful simplicity of alea tool markers, not to mention the magnetics aspect of it!

You might try finding a gamestore based in Canada that offers this product rather than ordering direct from Alea or from a US-based gamestore. I don't know if that might help avoiding the cross-the-border markup.

Of course, I think the extra $20 bucks for a good package of alea tools markers is worth it!

Edit: Oops, I meant to quote the OP, rather than Alisair. Not criticizing your own advice for Litko!

Yeah, Litko stuff is great. I started using them for bases and such when I got back into wargaming a couple of years ago.
