Alternity vs D20 Modern

Yeah, a conversion guide Alternity -> d20 modern would be great. I have all the Alternity Stuff and it was and is amazing and I would like to use the fluff it in the future too (without doing the conversion myself).

Even if the settings will be brought back to modern, the question is if it will have the same good feel as in ALTERNITY ? Or are there plans for ALTERNITY D20 ?

Alternity d20 wouldn't make any more sense than, say, GURPS d20 or Hero d20 or BRP d20 - Alternity is just a rules engine. However, there are plans for a "d20 future" supplement to d20 Modern, expanding Modern to cover futuristic stuff as well.

Yes I know it was a silly thought, but ALT has still many concepts that modern can't do better or lacks altogether. It's a skill-based system which supports GM's decisions much more than d20 does. I don't think WOTC should have copied D&D for sci-fi. D&D is fine for fantasy, but for modern (or future) RPGs ALT does a better job IMO than d20.

It's THIS thought that lets me hope some day ppl will realize what an amazing concept they let die... :( Reviving ALT through d20 is indeed a silly thought.
