Awhile ago I ordered a couple of DnD books from DiscountRPG. There was a problem with tracking numbers, I thought it was going to get to me later then first thought. But everything is great now. Ed, the person in charge over there is top notch, I highly reccomend them. :D

I had a completely different -- and good -- experience ordering from them. Sorry to hear your stuff's sitting in the mail.

Awhile ago I ordered a couple of DnD books from DiscountRPG. This was the first time I bought anything online. Last week I recived word from them that my order shipped on Jan 14. They gave me a USPS tracking number. Turns out my order just shipped out of the USPS warehouse from they're area on JAn. 19, it was sitting in a mail warehouse for 5 fricking days, not doing anything. Way too slow. I was expecting the order this weekend sometime.
DiscountRPG needs to ship some other way.

Well, if they shipped by USPS media mail/book rate, that's not too unusual. It's the cheapest rate for books, and sometimes the post office sits on them for a few days. How many books did you order, and how much was the shipping? Don't blame the company, this is the POs fault.

I ordered from DiscountRPG and despite the 7 business days it took to process my order, I got the books a day after they shipped (of course I live only a few hours away from them).

I'm guessing that they are a rather new e-business that got flooded with more orders than they counted on. As time passes they should get a better handle on processing orders.

As for the length in shipping, as others said, its not really their fault, its the shippers.

I would recommend them, if you don't need the books right away.

It is the USPS' fault. I order from stiggyaby and the last two times in a row my package sat in a USPS hub for 6 and 7 days. As someone mentioned before i don't order anything I am in a hurry to get. Plus this is in no way stiggybaby's fault (in my case), or discount RPG's (in your case).

As another point, I pre-ordered my C. Adv. from Amazon, it still hasn't shipped, even though I got my other books I ordered, which all shipped AFTER C. Adv. was released. Now THAT is Amazon's fault. So don't order anything you want right away from Amazon either.

I ordered two books. Complete Adventurer and Expanded Psionic Handbook. IMO its the online stores resposiblity to ship in the most expedeant way possible for how you choose your shipping options. That way was UPS. But I get snail mail. I understand I live on Cape Cod, one of the farthest points away from them in the contenaltal US, but I would have at least expected my order to be on the east coast by now, not still on the west coast.

Your quibble is checking the cheapest shipping method, not with DiscountRPG.
As a clued in individual you are slandering discountRPG, and not the people your qualm should be with, USPS.
Retract your statement before they sue you. Just so you know. I am in no way affiliated with either party, just passing on some words of such... and such...

The store put the products into the mail system, within 7 days if they are being truthful, and parcel tracking would confirm that. So they have lived up to their end of the deal. They have not tricked you, stolen from you, or deceived you. Maybe the topic should be "DONT SHIP WITH USPS"

A better guess would be that they are under-capitalized like most online stores and thus don't have the products you're ordering in stock. So they wait to order from their distributor after they get your order. Then ship it to you.

Beware deep discounters, I've seen more of them disappear with your money after a year then survive. There just isn't enough margin to do the kinds of discounting they are promoting and still be a healthy company in the long run.

I have a right to my option, and a right to express my option. Discount RPG did not give me the option to ship USPS ground, UPS ground, or FedEx ground. The should have, IMO.
