Just as a completely anecdotal bit of information....I purchased something from an Ebayer on January 4th. They delievered it to USPS on the 5th. Priority mail. I got it on the 17th.

Priority is typically 2-3 days, and as these were cables for my PS2 and XBOX, they certainly weren't big and bulky and requiring muscle men.

I think that USPS was just overwehelmed for a few days....

What I don't like about UPS, is that they don't deliver to my house, but just leave packages on the front gate, which is like 1/3 of a mile away and not even in eye-shot. So anyone could simply steal the packages if they wanted. (Somehow, Fex Ex and other companies manage to come to my door).

I just ordered a new computer and it's being delivered by UPS. I really hope they don't decide to leave it at the front gate.

I know.. several people have. I've had my copy on preorder since december 20th. Strange aint it?

That would be why; I ordered mine two weeks ago, when the availability flipped to 1-2 days.

UPDATE: Turns out Ed, the guy in charge at DiscountRPG gave me the wrong tracking number. I got my order yesterday.


I take back what I said about them, sorry. People here have made some good points. I should not blame them for the slowness of the postal service.

I can understand your ire though. AN order I made with Discount AnimeDVD on Nov 25th for some XMas presents didn't arrive until Dec 31 Worse was the fact that they never gave me a tracking number, never answered my emails and I only seemed to get their attention when I started an action against them via paypal (one the very last day I could file it too). 6 days later the DVDs arrived :\

I much prefer selling online to buying.

KenM, edit your first post, change the title of the post to something along the lines on "DiscountRPG AoK" and ammend your first post to cover that its all ok now.

Okay, I ordered Complete Adventurer.. (preordered it actually since I got a gift certificate for Xmas for Amazon). Today.. I sign on, it's on hold till FEBUARY 25th.. but the page with it on Amazon says it's avaiable for immediate order and delivery.

Cancel and place a new order. The only reason I don't do it is because got it for $8.00 by applying for their credit card. So I'll wait until after February 25th. Fortunately I am in no hurry to get it.

But yes, it is wierd how they screw the people who pre-order, but if you cancel your pre-order and place a new order after it is released, you get it faster. Something very fishy going on there.

but the thing is.. when I order REGULAR books they ship as soon as they flip. And I've preordered stuff MONTHS ahead of time. And DVDs too.

Awhile ago I ordered a couple of DnD books from DiscountRPG. There was a problem with tracking numbers, I thought it was going to get to me later then first thought. But everything is great now. Ed, the person in charge over there is top notch, I highly reccomend them.

Frankly, when you change the title and text of a post to the reverse of what it said the day before, please add an Edit to say why. I have been wondering for two minutes if my memory had been altered by some unknown spell.
