It gives him fast healing 1 as long as it is within 10 ft.  So now he can tank for the casters and recover between encounters. Right now the only regular in the group that doesn't have a familar, animal companion, or talking sword is the flying elf warmage.  We're taking bets if he will survive long enough to get one too.  +4 level adjustment on a flying elf (FR). He is elc 5 with 6 hp, is hanging out with levels 6-10, and is in fights with cr 8s.  Hopefully he will survive the next dragon and get one of the invisiblity items in the hoard.</blockquote>
