Amazing Stories #604 (with me in it)

Well, the October issue should be going out to subscribers soon and hitting newsstands near the end of this month, and I've just learned from the Paizo page that that's the one with me in it. If you check out the cover (http://www.paizo.com/amazing.shtml), you'll see my name at the far bottom left of the cover... uh, once you stop looking at Angelina Jolie and her sexy sexy eyepatch, that is.

(Can I just mention how much I love being in a mag with a good cover? My wife supportively frames every story I sell, which means that I have a perfect excuse to have a giant eyepatched Angelina Jolie on my office wall...)

And, in additional good news, the editor just bought my sequel story -- no idea when that one will be appearing, but it makes for a pretty good writing day all around...

Thanks guys -- this is the talking sword story -- and its sequel, which is also a talking sword story. Dude wandering the world with his talking sword, more or less. I'd love to talk about its depth and meaning and use of thematic tropes, but really, it's a dude and his talking sword. C'mon. I've got several swordfights and a scene of humorous nudity.

So we'll see what the readers think...
