Amazon.com and release dates

Are they going to be carrying the Shackled City hardcover? I still don't see it listed on their site (unless I just couldn't find it).

The typical amazon customer rep experience makes it sound like they have a bot that grabs the closest "pat answer". I almost feel like Durkon when he is doing the dial-a-prayer thing. "You have chosen colon tumor..."

LOL! :) Well not surprised. I mean if anyone gets a Durkon like treatment is gamers with Amazon.com :P

Glass, probably not but you could try maybe BAMM.com and see if they are carrying it.

BTW, Amazon.com has also brought back the Gold Box Specials and they seem to be based on your past purchases now. I got DMGII for $25 thru mine :D
That's cool, but it seems that their base price is only $26 and change anyway. :) A lot cheaper then most pirces I've seen. May have to order it after all...

Mac,

Nah do what I did. Buy off of BAMM.com. It's way cheaper, IHMO. Certainly they are good at listing the prices for all the major online book retailers and showing you the prices for the book.

I always liked the gold box idea, but I hated what was in mine -- so I stopped checking it. But this new approach rocks! Everything in my gold box today was something I'd consider buying, and they were nearly all gaming books. Thanks for the FYI! :)

Barnes & Noble is the same way. Always late. I have a friend that works in receiving and he's brought it to the attention of their buyers. Same lame excuse, "we have problems getting accurate release dates from the company." I wonder why they don't just check the website. Especially for WotC products.

It looks like amazon converted "share the love" into the gold box. I've noticed that all of the gold box deals tailored to me are an extra 10% off.

I will never buy from B&N online again. The last 3 orders I received from them (albeit 3 or so years ago) had some sort of minor damage (bent corners, scuffed covers, slightly ripped spines, etc.).
