Amazon Distribution "Issues" in the UK

I'm going to wait and see what Amazon say tomorrow - I can't believe yet that it's going to be as bad as they say. At the moment I'm awaiting news like everyone else as to what happens with my order.

I may be living in denial, of course.

I am going to be VERY cross if the Core rulebooks are similarly delayed!

Just work it all into the wedding:

Do you John take this woman to be your Lawfully (not Chaotic Good) wedded wife; in sickness even after all your 4 plus Con bonus Healing Surges have been expended; until you reach your negative Con score in hit points and a Raise Dead ritual is too expensive at 500gp per level?

I do

Do you Amy take this man to be your Lawfully (not Neutral Good) wedded husband; even when your attack roll versus his Will defense fails and he won't clean up after himself?

Cross? I'm going to freak out, if that happens! I have to catch a flight on 12th, leaving the UK for 2-3 months! Including visiting my old group, which is waiting for a 4E game! Talk about baaad timing!

Cheers, LT.

I checked with my FLGS in London today (Playin Games for the win) and they called the distributor on the 19th, and it was sent to them today (20th), they are hoping to have it in on the 21st.

Who knows what Amazon will do. One would have thought that one of the benefits for them of a 'preorder' system is that they would know in advance how many copies they would need. Perhaps not...

Cheers

According to Esdevium, KotS ships today to offline retailers who should have it later this week. Leisure Games in north London have a reputation for offering a good mail order service. If I were seeking to order KotS or the core books by phone/post, I would try them. You'll need to pay full price* but you'll get better service than you will from Amazon.

I stopped ordering RPG books from Amazon (both .co.uk and .com) a long time ago. Too many times I received damaged products. And it wasn't even that they had been damaged in transit: each time the box they came in was in perfect condition. Amazon were actually despatching damaged products! :(

*Edit: I believe Leisure Games have a special price on core book pre-orders.
