Amazon got KotS here on release day. . .

Having looked through it only briefly so far, all I can say is the quality of the booklets is a big disappointment (too flimsy feeling) and I'm glad I bought it at a discounted price because had I been able to handle it beforehand, it would've never gotten purchased.

QFT. I've canceled my preorders of H2 and H3 if they are of similar quality. I can't imagine this will last through more than a single run through intact for the price. If I had paid the full $30, I'd've been pretty upset rather than disappointed.

Sounds like 'inconsistent' is a good description.

I'm curious, how far in advance did folks pre-order? Perhaps this might explain the inconsistency, if orders are being shipped in the order they were received?

I pre-ordered on February 26th.

I haven't received mine yet, but I preordered my copy of KotS (along with a Fantastic Locations set and a Dungeons of Dread booster) about a week ago, and received my shipment notice from Amazon.ca on Sunday.

I've found WotC seems to release things on Tuesdays, and that whenever I preorder, I get a shipping notice from Amazon (again, .ca) on the Sunday before.

EDIT: I always go with the Free Shipping option, 'cause the discount is (in my experience) worth the relatively short wait.
