I'm glad someone is doing that! I read the pdfs @ work (on my palm) and its handy to have them on my palm @ the gaming table.

Here is an early sample of the current layout, with art. (Some spacing has been fixed since this image was captured, the staggering around the lower-right hand corner of the graphic has been cleaned up so the text in all three columns lines up).

Layout for all three versions (Screen, Print and POD) will be landscape. I think a landscape book looks nice, and I've managed to convince the CEO that we should try a landscape POD version.

This is going to look sweet. You continue to improve upon your layout as the products come along.

plus the fact that a landscape layout is pretty rare and hardly ever done. I like it and I think it will make the product look really nice when completely done.

That sounds cool. All that I really care about, in a .pdf product, is that it is easy on the ink. I know some people really go ga-ga over the pretty layouts, I prefer pretty plain layouts. But, I can't wait to get this product. I like archery as well...

re: Printer-Friendliness

The art is all b&w in this book, and the headers and footers that you see on each page lack the gradients on the printer-friendly edition.

Also, the three archers in silhouette on each side of the page at the bottom are done as black outlines instead of shaded, again saving you ink.

We left the artwork in so your printed edition will still look pretty, but won't chew up your printer in the process.
