AMG's Art Thread

Alrighty..I've done this before...but THIS time I mean to continue updating it. I have to say though.

THANK YOU to LrdApoc. If he hadn't pushed me back during the summer to actually get to work on my art, I probably would still be stuck in the more cartoony anime style I used to use...I still am moving into a more realistic style, and its a lot of work, but without his first pushing in a Hive thread, I wouldn't have done ANY of these. :)

This is just me playing around with designs for the armor that the Elves in my homebrew world wear. Spent so long on that chestplate it just annoys me to look at now...the leg doesn't fit well with the rest of it, but I have to say I love how the bracer and the sword came out. :)

Drew this after I found an old book on Archery...the eye bothers me, but the fact that I drew a hand that looks...GOOD...tops it all for me.
(And yes, the arrow is curved. I swore I got that straight at first! )

Hey AMG,

I'd love to see your stuff, but I'm getting all "little red X's" instead of pictures.

Is it just me, or is everyone getting this?

My browser has no problem with other pictures.

o.k., there is always a difficulty giving advice without sounding condescending, but can i try?

the value drawings you are dpoing (chiaruscuro) would be strengthened by broadening the range of tones you use.

if 1 was wgite and 10 was black you are going from 3.5 to 7. try including some more numbers :)

a few 10's, and some 1's on highlight, and you can eliminate the lines and have a bolder image with more of a 3-d pop.

you are on the right course :)
