Ankh-Morpork Guard
First Post
Okay, so, it's been near five years since I've been around these parts. Way back when, I had an art thread, but we're not going to talk about that now. It's been a long time and it's hard to look at that stuff.
Importantly, I'm back to semi-haunting this place, at least in a mostly lurking mode. This is mainly due to having a D&D group again, but I've missed my old home on the internet.
So first, before some art gets posted, I want to hit a few points. In the time since I last hung around here and posted my terrible art, I went to and graduated from college, got a degree in art, and even got married. My wife is also an artist, and we work together on pretty much everything these days. We're pretty heavy into the comic book world, slowly working on some indie projects and hoping to eventually break into the business.
In that direction, we've decided to make a webcomic that ties into the D&D game I've been running. The plan is to fill some plot areas with some major NPCs and old PCs between different games, and just have fun with it. The first 'issue' is written and we're working on the art at this point, but I figured I'd get a thread going here with some of our main character designs.
There may eventually be other things in this thread, as we've got a few other webcomic ideas brewing and getting off the ground, as well as a couple print things, but right now the D&D stuff is the focus, and that works great for here. I'm not sure exactly how often this'll get updated, as working on multiple projects at once has us bouncing around, but I'll do my best.
So, now I'll shut up and post a few of the character portraits. Hopefully said images work...if not, yell at me and I can fix them.
