An absolute GEM of a paladin sourcebook (PDF)...

(By the way, there's more Paladin stuff in Asgard #7.)

I bought Forgotten Heroes: Paladin as well and wasn't as overwhelmed. I didn't quite like the idea of subclasses that are marginally different from the original. You can possibly do more customization by choosing different feats or skills.

I do like the Test of Faith concept, and there is a wealth of stuff in the 70+ pages for die-hard Paladin characters.

Some things that sent off alarm bells:
Seeker PrC getting bonus ability scores at 2nd, 4th, 6th and 9th level. Even if it's Int/Wis/Cha only at 2nd and 6th, this is overpowered. I didn't like the idea of ability score requirements for this PrC either.

The Judicial Champion PrC is totally broken. It's a 5 level PrC and by 4th level you get Damage Reduction 2/- (You can start taking this PrC at level 5), Toughness twice and a +2 competency attack bonus if no other combatants within 10 ft. And a d12 HD.

Champion PrC is also a bit broken...

I'll take a while more to put up a review. Yes, there's good stuff but a DM better take a good look through before deciding what to allow.

(it seems that November is the big month for paladins, with both Path of Faith and the Quintessential Paladin coming out then).

Are you sure? Because the Mongoose website has the Quintessential Druid coming out in November, and I really hope it's right because I can't wait for that one. My druid is already kicking some serious @ss :D

My bad. It seems there's no longer a release date for the Quintessential Paladin. But I swear it was at one time November. I went looking for it not long ago.
