An Alternative Visual for Color Spray?

I am currently running a cleric of St. Cuthbert through SCAP and I have taken the Law Inviolate feat.

The feat allows me to cast Color Spray but the standard visual description does not strike me as having the right flavor for a cleric of St. C, so I am looking for ideas from the creative minds here.

My color sprays tend to take the form of a magical version of a flash-bang.

Blast of intense white light and a concussion. Leaves you stunned and disoriented, but doesn't shock you with amazingly bad fashion choices.

"... purple ... with ... lime green ... *swoon*"

St. Cuthbert to me is foremost punative, so I would go a completely different direction and make the spell effect a kind of penance.. uh.. stare, I guess. Those in the cone who meet the caster's eyes recall the injustices they've done. It still affects only sighted creatures, the will save is appropriate, the effects make sense. For a visual effect, the caster's eyes could shine with a light of judgement.

A mystical cudgel appears swiping across the area of effect in one big sweep smacking everyone in the head, leaving them all seeing stars and suffering various stun/unconscious effects.

Verbal component. "No backsliding!"

You could make it like one of those 60s psychedelic montages from the movies. Or not. :p

Or- your avatar gave me this one- make it look like St. Cuthbert's tartan.

This isn't specifically Cuthbert-related, but for a shadow adept in one game I had the color spray be tendrils of shadow that reached out and stunned/blinded/etc the targets.
