An Idea: Gemstones Powers And Alignment

I thought it would be interesting if the major, more expensive stones, were devoid of relevance in this particular instance. Just for something different, I guess.

You want interesting names as opposed to fancy schmancy stones?

How about: Moonstone, Sunstone, Bloodstone, Moss Agate, Herkimer Diamonds (not real diamonds), Tiger Iron, Picture Agate, Thunder Eggs, Desert Roses, Petrified Lightning, Pallasite, Rutilated Quartz, Rainbow Hematite, Tifer's Eye, Hawk's Eye, Fool's Gold (for bards?), and fossils (esp. Pyritized or ammolite/gem ammonite)...most of which would be considered semi-precious and/or unusable in jewelry.

I view the major gems as for higher level characters with lesser gemstones for lower level characters.
