An incredible game review article

Another thing is without someone there who has played the games non gamers can have more difficulties. I know Carcassonne was considered too much by my brother and his friends until I sat down and showed them. On their own as guys that just don't play games it was not making sense to them. Having someone who knows what they are doing to show people how the game is played can make all the difference.

Everyone, including nongamers, that I've played Pandemic with has loved it. I don't see it as being significantly more complicated than Monopoly. Or heck, even chess.

Yeah that was some brutal reviewing on their part. Some games are certainly more difficult for some, I will concede that point but this just sounds like they needed to get this article done in a hurry and simply glossed over the rules.

I don't know, I wasn't there at the games I guess.

I can understand rating Pandemic as complex. I don't think the rules themselves are so bad, but if you've ever played a game of Pandemic where you only won because you planned part of the game eight turns in advance in order to coordinate every action you'd need at exactly the time you needed it, then yeah, its complex.

But Ticket to Ride? You draw cards. Then you play them in sets.

I asked a friend for a review of the first game, but haven't received it yet. She's got a Ticket to Ride, but she don't care. My baby don't care. :(

As for Pandemic, I understand it is really catching. Pretty soon everyone will have it!

When we play Pandemic, we usually define the diseases as follows

Yellow - Ebola or Cholera
Black - Bubonic Plague
Red - Avian Flu
Blue - Erectile Dysfunction

Gotta poke fun at First World Problems. :D
