An odd question - selective service

I start a new job on the 15th (yes, two days before Gen Con, they are aware of that). Anyway, this is a government-type job, which requires a low level security clearance. I'm sure some of you have filled out this wonderful documentation. It is a joy.

One of the sections actually wanted my "selective service registration number". Good grief! So, I dug into storage on Sunday, and amazingly enough, I found it. But, it is designed to fold in half, and the ink from one side overlaps with the ink on the other side, and the number is hard to read. I think I can make it out, but I wanted to verify the formatting.

It looks like ##-#######-#

Does that sound right?

Btw, my Blog has all the gripping details of this job, and the crap I had to go through to finally get it. You can read about it there if you're so inclined.

Wow, I didn't know about this. I checked mine and it's still on file, even though I am no longer eligible for draft - only for recall.. (did 8 years active) Cool linky. :)

WOW! I wish I'd known about that before I went slogging through my storage unit to find my stupid card. Very handy, thank you, Reveal.

That's the difference between me and you; I'm lazy. I would've Googled first, which is what I did to find the link. ;)

Manual labor? Pshaw!
