Angel Star to Play Superman?

Concerning a Batman show: I just don't see it. But if it happened, not Ethan Hawke. Go the same way they did with Smallville and get an unknown.
Concerning Adrian Pasdar: The guy from my favorite vampire movie...but I can't see him as any superhero. Period. He lacks something.
Concerning Tom Welling: He is a great Clark/Superboy, but he looks too young for Superman. He might be 26, but he looks 10 years younger to me.
Concerning George Clooney: He looked like BW? Hehhehheh...Not to me. I thought he absolutely failed on looking the part.
Concerning Ben Affleck: Love him, think he should only do comedy, but he doesn't look like Matt Murdock to me. Brad Pitt looks more like MM. Somehow, I could see Affleck doing a superhero however. Maybe a Green Lantern of the Flash...
Concerning Patrick Stewart and Christopher Reeve: Dead on looking the part.
Brenden Fraser certainly can look goofy, but he can also look not so goofy when he tries. For Captain Marvel? Maybe...my first thought on that was Bruce Campbell (don't know why), followed by Rollins (really don't know why). Just thought of him while typing...the guy who played the Tick on the live action show. :)
So if they ever make an Ambush Bug movie, who should play him? Or should he be all CGI?

His name's Patrick Warburton, and he's been suggested by many for Captain Marvel. He would definitely be my first pick. He's got that squinty-eye look that characterized the golden age Captain Marvel drawn by CC Beck. Plus the build, of course.

Edit: Here's a link with a headshot of Patrick next to the good Captain.

I can see Boreanaz as Superman...kind of.
But definitely not Clark Kent.

Then how about Spike (James Marsters)? There was the one episode of Buffy that showed him before he got vamped, and he was a total geek.

(I'm just throwing it out there, but I don't really want to see David or James as Superman.)

I checked the link you mentioned, and in my opinion you are 100% correct - he'd be perfect.

However, I think he'd be perfect for Superman, too - it's the square jaw and the deep voice.

True, Patrick Warburton would also be excellent as Captain Marvel.

I liked Clooney as Batman/Bruce Wayne. I very much would like to see him try to role in a serious Batman movie (like Keaton got to do, except I never liked that take on Batman, either, although it was a good movie). Then again, I liked Chris O'Donnell (sp??) as Dick Grayson (althought he attitude factor was way too high, another writing problem, not an acting problem).

Brendan Frasier does goofy better than possibly anyone else in the movie industry today, IMHO. On the other hand, you're very right, he does serious very well, too. And when he buffs up, he looks fabulous and macho and handsome and sexy (and this from a completely straight man, mind you. Any opinions there, Angelsboi?) Do I think he could do a serious superhero movie? Damn skippy I do, and if that movie is Superman, I'm not brokenhearted. :)

Ben Affleck as DD, I like it. I am chomping at the bit to see the movie, myself. But, I like Ben Affleck. I like his look, and his acting (even if much of it is fairly similar in vein). He busted his hump on DD fromwhat I've read, going so far as to wear opque contact lenses and talking to a blind person to get some form of perspective (not a unique thing to do, but kudos that he did parts of the filming actually blind). I think they should have done something with his hair, because Daredevil IS a redhead (and one of the only redheads in comics that I've ever seen whose hair is actually an orange color, and not crimson or brick red). I think the mask fits a little wrong, too, around the bottom, but that's a small nit to pick.

Tom Welling, I say give him a few years. By the time he's 30, he might be the perfect Superman (not including previous Supermen). But, I doubt we have quite that long until another Superman movie.

For the record, in a recent interview, Boreanaz killed his rumor. Says he read for the part, but couldn't do it because of Angel, and was never "officially" given it.

Chalk up another swing-and-miss for the British tabloids. ;)
