Angelfire gallery is up; how about some ID's on these minis?

I think Abyssal skulkers were in WotC's previous mini game Chainmail - not sure they ever made it to a D&D book

I'd guess you'll find Wrackspawn in Stormwrack when it comes out.

Cheers

Wrackspawn (AKA WTF) was made up for DDM. I don't know what the designers were "thinking" when they designed it, but I'm pretty sure it's the most universally hated mini of the new set.

Abyssal skulkers are in Monster Manual 2, IIRC.

So why are wrakspawn hated?

Y'know, I just eBayed a complete set of rares, two sets of uncommons, and six sets of common off of eBay to the tune of $230 plus shipping (yeah, I know, probably too much), and now I'm looking at those minis and thinking "geez, I'm gonna need another steel predator, another stone giant...and hell, who ever fights a lone red slaad or thri-kreen?"

Damn, dirty bastards. Looks like I'm gonna wait another month before getting Tivo...oh well, there's nothing good on TV anymore anyway. :)

Wrackspawn are hated because they look ridiculous, are a new made-up creature (instead of something out of the books), and can't stand-in for any other creature. That, and, being common, everyone will end up will hordes of them that will be utterly untradeable.

I agree, it's just the kind of monster that doesn't have a future :p

OTOH I looked at the page and I really think the Trumpet Archon is my favourite ever. And so is the Pegasus, the Hezrou, the Archmage, the Ghost, the Imp, the Ogre Mage and the Weretiger ;)

BTW, what's a Chraal? Looks like it would make a good demon-type!
