Animal Planet...and the future?

I saw the show, a little sensationalist, and obviously there weren't any linguists on the team. They were just combinations of two words that explain the creature. I would expect they'd at least provide Latin or Ancient Greek names. But I do agree the creatures would make excelent monsters.

I suppose at one point the moon could eventually collide with the Earth, too.

Quite the opposite, really. The moon is breaking free from the earth's gravitiational pull and moving away from the earth at something like an inch every year or something like that.

After the 200,000,000 years postulated by the show, the moon would be a little over 3,150 miles further from earth than it is today. How this would affect tides and such I don't know.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am creating a magical beast based on the rainbow squid from the sharkopath seas episode. (also the sharkopath is a clever wordplay on the words shark and empath... At least I think it was clever.) I will post the rainbow squid on the homebrews board when I finish it.

Well I wouldn't call a sharkopath a psychopath, well at least not to its face... :D

Anyways, I figured it was empath, since the sharopath is just being a shark, and thus cannot be 'mentally unstable', as psychopath alludes to. But rather the sharkopath has enhanced senses compared to todays sharks, therefore empath.

Shark + empath = Sharkopath.

At least, that is my reasoning... :D
