hrm... who are the editors? :)
Oh, I just make posts within Netscape. Or Explorer if nothing better's available. But I guess you could write them in Notepad and then post, if you wanted. And maybe some of the Story Hour people use Word.

Googleplex pages... let me think here...

1 ream of paper is 500 sheets (well, actually its _supposed_ to be 480 sheets, but we will not squabble).

500 sheets would make 1000 pages.

Assuming a fairly common bond of paper, lets say that 1000 pages (500 sheets) is about 1.5 inches thick.

Now... a googleplex is a one (1) followed by 1 google zeroes...

A google is a one (1) followed by 100 zeroes (side note: this always pissed me off; named numbers after 1000 always have a number of zeros divisible by 3... could a google have been a one (1) followd by 99 zeros? NOOOOOooooooo, it just _HAD_ to be 100 zeros...).

My estimation is that this had better be a digital document, as there is not enough MATTER on the planet that could be converted to a paper-like substance to print this monster... and if you did, it would form its own gravity well...

Then again, I cannot imagine the amount of disk space that would be required...

I'm glad I'm not the only one in the world to find this highly annoying. No need to break format where-ever you see fit. I also don't like 11 or 12. They should be one-teen and two-teen.

Currently working on a campaign setting with 1∞∫x-1 dx pages

If that doesn't work out, I'll go for 1∞∫x-2 dx pages. Might be easier to write...

Wuss!

I already have online something I like to call "EN World". With a mind-bending 826,148 pages (assuming you print out the message boards at one page per post), it's a treasure trove of game information that simply can't be beat! :D

100,000? Feh.

So, I get top billing in that for writting the most "pages" ? :D

One google pieces of paper alone would mass somewhere around - eep - that's a high number. OK, you know how heavy our galaxy is? 2x10^56 times heavier than that. That ruleset would collapse spacetime (locally if not throughout the entire Universe) and bring about an end to everything.

And they say roleplaying isn't evil...

A 100,000 page document, on the other hand, printed on A4 paper with hardcovers, would probably only weigh as much as the average gaming group (excluding dice) and, stacked in one pile, be about twenty feet high. That's a project I could really get behind (well, only if there was villainy afoot and I needed a place to hide, but hey).

I've heard it said that there are 10^87 particles in the Universe. This really puts a crimp in plans to produce these larger projects; I anticipate that advances in quantum mechanics will be necessary to create the continuums necessary to produce the mass/energy to build such reality-dwarfing projects. Just think, you could be building entire universes simply to serve as generators for the project.

Isn't science grand?

Oh yeah, well the AEG setting is actually gonna be called “Waterworld/Dune” and is in part written by Kevin Costner and that guy who made Twin Peaks and you just know its gonna be a huge finical success...

Let's just cut to the chase, and save some work: 42. The answer is 42.

Hmm, I guess that means that the Ultimate Setting should be 42 pages long. Or maybe 84 pages (42 sheets). Whoops -- covers -- make that 80 pages. Or 42 lbs? How many pages would that be, I wonder.

Just as long as it doesn't come with a gold foil variant cover, right?
