Another director leaves X-3

And Del Toro isn't all that hot at the other sequences, at least based on Hellboy, Mimic, and Blade 2. I second the call for Joss Whedon... :D

Well, they supposedly dumped Singer because he took on Superman. Joss has chosen to do Wonder Woman, so somehow I don't see them thinking he's the right choice either.

I thought it was more of a scheduling conflict than dumping him. If Josh is free then he might be considered.

I read an interview with Joss saying that Wonder Woman has no set schedule as yet, which was part of why he took it...so He had time to thing about the plot and such I guess. With X3 pretty much all set to go, and Serenity pretty much rapping up. I wouldn't be too suprised if He were to do this next, and then Wonder Woman after.

Would this be the first time somebody wrote the comic AND the movie?
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the screenwriter for the Spawn movie also wrote some issues of the comic beforehand. And wasn't the Sin City dialogue lifted directly from the graphic novels?

Technically, its the Director spot that's being talked about.
Yeah, for sure. I can't really imagine Joss just directing somebody else's script, though. Doesn't seem his style.

You are correct. Todd MacFarlane is listed as writer on Spawn and of course Frank Miller got listed as both writer and director on Sin City. I forgot.

So, the answer is, pretty categorically, "No."

Glad I asked, though.
