another epic question /sigh

I have a character that will be a 17 wizard 3 archmage when he hits 20th lvl. Now i have no plans to continue as an archmage and next level i will be epic. what class do i take? another level of wizard will give me only 2 new spells to add to my spellbook. but if i take any other class i'll be essentially starting over and won't gain any epic benefits from that class either. do i actually have to wait till i'm a 21 wizard 3 archmage (24th lvl) before i gain any benefits other than the epic feat every 3 levels everybody gets?

could i take a single level of sorcerer then pick up one of the epic level prestige classes that continues spellcasting advancement and apply it to my sorcerer spell list?

Go wizard and take the Improved Spell Capacity feat. That's about it. While I don't feel that spellcasters of any sort "got the shaft" in the ELH, the options are a bit more limited. What saves you is that you have 9th level spells and (hopefully) maxed spellcraft. That will meet most feat requirements.

You won't get the bonus epic level feats until Wiz 21, but I'm sure you can find another non-epic you want. Epic level play seems to revolve around feats.
