I never saw the need for caps in any case, but some people point to swarms of magic missiles dealing huge amounts of unavoidable damage. Okay then, drop the damage to 1d4. Our group has a couple spells that protect from force damage; shield has a chance of negating magic missiles, as does a brooch of shielding.</p></blockquote><p></p>
