Some really interesting things.

I couldn't read most of it, but I did count the deities for each Pantheon.

Seldarine 29 Gods (I did make out the name Zandilar which makes this book a must purchase for me), Dark Seldarine (yes they call it the Dark Seldarine by name) 9 Gods, Dwarves 19, Duergar at least two, but I couldn't make out the bottom of the table, 9 Halfing Gods, 13 Gnome Gods, I didn't see any Gith Gods.

Shadar Kai get Necrotic Resistance and +1 Constitution. They no longer get a cantrip, couldn't tell anything else.

I think Sea Elves are unchanged.

Eldarin just get +1 Charisma, no +1 Intelligence option, and Fey Step with a seasonal kicker, but I couldn't make out what those did.

Evermeet gets mentioned.

Weird thought, but what if the Raven Queen counts as a member of the Seldarine or Dark Seldarine now? I couldn't read either list well enough to see her name, but its an interesting twist that might make sense now.

Huh the Molydeus is like the only monster that does not get art.

I noticed that as well, which is odd, as they are distinctive creatures. I was wondering if there were art for it elsewhere in the book, like the art for the autumn eladrin (which is in the elf section, and not in the Bestiary like the other three), but I didn't catch a glimpse of it there either...

On the plus side, the list I made a few years ago (before Volo's was announced) with the 100 monsters I wanted to see updated to 5e, every single demon, devil, and yugoloth I had listed has now been updated (although the babau got in early and was updated in Volo's), with the somewhat baffling exception of the piscoloth, and slightly more reasonable exception of the bebilith.

How's that list looking, as a whole, at this point?

Pretty decent. I'll re-post it, including what has been updated, here in the near future, probably after I get the book. Volo's updated about 25% of the monsters, if I remember rightly, and adventures like ToA have updated a few more (although they aren't in "official" monster books yet.). Also missed that I had the baernoloth on the list as well when I made the previous post.

What got updated from it in MToF:

6 Astral Dreadnought.
18 Demon - Alkilith, (Babau, updated in VGtM), (Bebilith - not updated), Molydeus, Nabassu, Rutterkin, Wastrilith.
19 Devil - Amnizu, all 5 Abishai, Nupperibo
23 Eladrin - well, sorta, as the ones here aren't the classic types apparently.
26 Elf, Aquatic
27 Elf, Drow, High Priestess of Lolth (Matron Mother in MToF is exactly this with a different name)
32 Gray Render
66 Phoenix
68 Retriever
79 Troll (Aquatic - not updated), Two-Headed (which looks to be pretty much the Dire Troll in MToF)
90 Yugoloth - (Baernaloth -not updated), Dergholoth, Hydroloth, Marreanoloth, (Piscoloth - not updated), Yagnoloth.

Beyond the list, I also mentioned that I wanted to see the Derro from OotA in an official monster book, and they are in MtoF.

Frost Salamanders, like Xvarts from Volo's, were something that were almost on the list, and are therefore a pleasant surprise to see updated.

So 11 from the list, but those with multiple sub-types had those updated en masse...

Only a few Elven deities get writeups, tho. Most of them are just listed. To answer your other question, TRQ counts as her own deity. As Mearls said in the video about her, they wanted to make her simply something else.

There's one thing that I don't like in this book (I heard this info in a podcast review: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/mage-productions/id1376790775?mt=2). While the elven souls reincarnate after each death, the drow souls just... die? So, the drow get no afterlife? In the book, from what I managed to read, it is said that even the fate of the followers of Eilistraee is mysterious: they turn into moonlight after they die and then no one knows. That's a major WTF moment to me, tbh, because--up to now--the souls of the drow went to whichever deity they worshiped...

Okay that is a hugely stupid retcon, what we're they thinking?
