Any advice for a wanna-be PBEM gamer?...

Hi all, beautiful board you have here

I've got a question for ya. Ever since I was a rather wee little lad reading the old Conan the Barbarian magazine sized comics, I wanted to play in an email based game like the one they advertised called "Hyborian Wars". The idea of weekly turns controlling vast empires really appealed to me. Lately, the urge to play something like this sparked in me and I began searching the web for an excellent play-by-email game. I'd prefer a fantasy themed conquest game, but any along that same vein will do. Do any of you currently participate in any PBEM games? Do you have any suggestions/links/ideas for where I can find an excellent one?

Quite funny that you ask this NOW, since we are still recruiting new players for the Industrial Revolution Games. The games are turn-based strategy games, with a mixture of role-playing and creative science/magic use.

I'll send you an email that should be pretty helpful in understanding the game.

Tis quite complicated at first (I was a player last time myself, and the last to join as well), but once you learn what makes the game flow (mostly creativity) you learn that it's one of the most entertaining ideas ever to come out of Edena of Neith's head.
