[QUOTE="pukunui, post: 9489425, member: 54629"] I recently quit the group I'd been playing in for a long time, so I have no idea when I will get to try a 2024 PC myself. However, on the DM side, I've been slowly incorporating various 2024 bits into my two ongoing campaigns, and I'm in the process of setting up a new campaign for my family which will be fully 2024. I'm going to run a Phanbox campaign for them. So far we've only gone through the chargen process. My wife made a gold dwarf arcane trickster rogue, while my daughters made an aasimar valor bard, an abyssal tiefling star druid, and a wood elf beast master ranger. We used the "This is Your Life" tables from Xanathar's to flesh them out a bit. I got some good character hooks out of that. The rogue recently fled from their fiendish criminal boss (I'm thinking cambion). I can have enforcers show up from time to time, eventually building up to a final showdown against the boss himself. The rogue also has a treasure map, which I will relate to one of the Essentials Kit quests. The druid has a sibling who "betrayed" the rest of the family and became a logger - they'll be working at the logging camp involved in one of the Essentials Kit quests. The bard had a sorcerer friend who died under mysterious circumstances. She wants to find out what happened. The ranger inadvertently made an enemy of an officious gnome monk who will make frequent appearances, popping out of bushes and from behind rocks to yell "Shame!" and otherwise be a harmless nuisance.
