D&D 5E Any build plans for D&D 2024?

Some ideas for me, Ranger Fey Wanderer 11/Trickery Cleric 9, with Eldritch Adept feat to take Pact of the Chain for a Sprite familiar you can cast as an action and give one of your attacks to if you want.

Dex/Wis based War Domain Cleric Thuamaurge order instead of Protector, but with 2D6 radiant or necro damage at later levels, focusing on hand axes 🪓 .

Divine focused Aasimar Dance Bard Acolytle with Eldritch Adept feat for a Sphinx of Wonder familiar. Could go straight Bard or mix with Venegence Paladin for 4e style unarmed Avenger, say 3 level dance Bard and the rest Avenger Paladin.

Or Conjuration focused lore Bard, get all the best conjugation spells, buff them with inspiration dice.

Or a combo Assassin Rogue/Shadow Warrior Monk.

I won't know for sure till I can see all the changes, especially any around multiclassing and spells.

I'm really interested in the updated Druid.

We started at level 1. My Druids most potent spell so far has been goodberry. I tried entangle as well but it failed (previous Druids have had great entangle success).

Been a while since a started as a level 1 Druid. Goodberry before long rest and then using them to top off allies after each combat is so dang potent!

I took Primal Order - Warden for Medium armor proficiency, however - we used default starting equipment so no good medium armor yet.

I'm very happy with the new Starry Wisp Cantrip.

EDIT: Wanted to add made the Druid a forest gnome. DM already ruled the spell resistance from the gnome would carry over to wildshape (seemed ambiguous to us). Took the Farmer Background, for con and wis stat, which gave the tough feat as well. I started out with 13 hp as a Druid!

Party is a fighter (and a dwarf at that), sorcerer, warlock and rogue leaning to arcane trickster (and the smart party member) plus a cleric who is looking at trickster.

So 5e 2024 is working?

I recently quit the group I'd been playing in for a long time, so I have no idea when I will get to try a 2024 PC myself.

However, on the DM side, I've been slowly incorporating various 2024 bits into my two ongoing campaigns, and I'm in the process of setting up a new campaign for my family which will be fully 2024. I'm going to run a Phanbox campaign for them. So far we've only gone through the chargen process.

My wife made a gold dwarf arcane trickster rogue, while my daughters made an aasimar valor bard, an abyssal tiefling star druid, and a wood elf beast master ranger. We used the "This is Your Life" tables from Xanathar's to flesh them out a bit. I got some good character hooks out of that.

The rogue recently fled from their fiendish criminal boss (I'm thinking cambion). I can have enforcers show up from time to time, eventually building up to a final showdown against the boss himself. The rogue also has a treasure map, which I will relate to one of the Essentials Kit quests.

The druid has a sibling who "betrayed" the rest of the family and became a logger - they'll be working at the logging camp involved in one of the Essentials Kit quests.

The bard had a sorcerer friend who died under mysterious circumstances. She wants to find out what happened.

The ranger inadvertently made an enemy of an officious gnome monk who will make frequent appearances, popping out of bushes and from behind rocks to yell "Shame!" and otherwise be a harmless nuisance.

Next time I'm in a 5E 2024 campaign, I'm looking at a Stars druid. I'll need a DM who understands that a stars druid will be very versatile and powerful. Whenever that is. maybe I'll probably run a halfling (I've never run a halfling).
