Thirded (or is it fourthed) on Anonycon! Great convention. Wish I could go again. Anything PirateCat or the other fine folks host in Boston is also good stuff.
As far as in New York area, there is gaming at ComicCon itself. I have not been, but a friend went and thought it was good. l personally attended ICon for a number of years, and thought that they had a good gaming setup despite it being billed as a media convention. (There were boardgame demos as well as RPG events.) I particularly noticed that a lot more than D&D was offered at ICon.
