Any good Scifi+cyberpunk rpgs?

Ravenstar is a mix between scifi and cyberpunk and whatnot.
Core Command might also qualify.

And Shadowrun is, of course, by far the leader in the field!
It's not pure cyberpunk, tho, and it hardly qualifies as scifi - it's unique! :D

Mongoose's OGL Cybernet is a d20ish cyberpunk setting.
WotC's d20 Modern + d20 Future includes Cyberpunk, but most people don't care for it.
Shadowrun (if that qualifies) has a new edition out.

I am sorry but I truely dislike WOTC's d20 Modern + d20 Future which I will not go into in this thread. I have my reasons.

Did anyone get to check out Cyberpunk V3 at origins? The a-holes at R.Talsorian BBS who played it are being tight lipped. I don't care if it was because they were asked to be, that ain't cyberpunk! They're all corporates or something! ;)

It is supposed to be Fuzion-based, or at least fuzion-like. I'm skeptical and hopeful at the same time.

Hands down, without a doubt, the best CyberPunk RPG published in the past 5 years is Ex Machina by Guardians of Order.

The book is BLOODY BRILLIANT.

If you like CyberPunk as a gaming genre, in my opinion, this is a must own book.

Did I mention that I *hate* the tri-stat system, and this is a Tri-Stat book?

That's how good it is.

hmmm...i'll check it out.

Oh i forgot to add if I do space/planetary rpg, I would like a game where you can play different alien spieces. So i am not sure which scifi rpg has that.

Any system would be ok just looking for storywise at the moment rules.

If you are looking for purely story elements, then Ex Machina is heads and shoulders above most other CyberPunk offerings. (Again, said as someone who is a hardcore fan of CyberPunk and not of the Tri-Stat system).

It contains some brilliant settings and great writing.

I have to agree, Ex Machina is without a doubt the best CP RPG. I hppen to like the Tri-Stat system though.

Nebuleon is my favorite sci-fi RPG, it has (IIRC) 6 different species you can play. Here's a link to the Nebuleon RPG website www.hinterwelt.com

PJ - I hunted down Mike Pondsmith @ Origins and asked him about the game, and he said to look it up in the con book for Saturday games and sign up.

I couldn't find it in the con book, and gave up.

I feel what you're feeling. Cyberpunk 2020 is still one of my favorite games. The whole Fuzion ruleset (from Mekton, Bubblegum Crisis, Champions) didn't really do that much for me. Still, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
