There could still be something today, it is still early, but who knows. Might be saved for a Dragon Talk at some point too.

Have they ever actually announced something on Dragon Talk? I only recall them ever discussing recent announcements.

I meant to say "a Dragon Talk day." They haven't announced anything there, but they have talked about announcements made that day. Last year when they announced both Ravnica and Wayfinder's Guide, they had both Keith Baker and the people spearheading the Ravnica book on to talk about them. This was back when Dragon Talk was on Monday and they made announcements on Monday.

In case anyone was still worried about it, Crawford confirmed that they still plan to add the Artificer to Wayfinders:

Yeah, makes sense: they've followed through on everything else they said they were planning, only makes sense to do the people who bought that book a solid. It also seems he hinted at the hardcover Eberron book on air, haven't watched the Dragon+ stream myself.

Yeah. He basically said the next time we see the Artificer it will be in a publication. And then he made reference to a potential upcoming Eberron release. That's about it.

He also said that we will probably see a more comprehensive version of the 'sidekick' rules appearing in a publication down the road. But he was vague

I predict that the Eberron book will have the full vehicle rules that GoS and BG have played with, given the importance of vehicles in Eberron. Wouldn't surprise me if they included sidekick variants in there, because they can.

Seems reasonable. I also wonder whether they've got some mechanical expansion on the horizon (next year or so). Has it been enough time since Xanathar's?

By the way, he also mentioned that a new UA would be coming soon. I've learned to interpret 'soon' as 1 to 3 weeks. But we'll see.

Mearls has mentioned the possibility of a new Xanathar's Guide in recent interviews: he said it is likely as XGtE was super successful, but said that was a few years off. I would think 2021 would be likely, as that would allow for a 3.5 year gap, as with XGtE from the original rules release.

I am not assuming per se, but I suspect that some DMsGuild surprise similar to the WGtE will come along with the full details of the November book: a UA article to accompany that would not be abnormal.

Incidentally, this is now the latest reveal for the November release details in 5E's run, if the info drops even tomorrow.

D&D "soon" is still better than Blizzard "Soon (TM)." Blizzard "soon" is like 5 years!
