Any opinions on the Kensai from Diamondthrone.com

Working on it
You can find the class here:
http://www.diamondthrone.com/displaycontent.cfm?iCatId=6&iConID=204

It's a different set of class features slapped onto AU's Oathsworn's base attacks, saves, speed increases, and AC bonus (which is a more generous monk-like bonus, only it doesn't rely on Wisdom).

The class has lots of modular features, and it looks like it could easily be used to build both a zen archer and a fast two-hander melee guy.

Has anyone else analyzed it or tried it out? It seems like it'd make a great spiked-chain or scythe tripper, and I'm playing an 8th level scythe spring-attacker in a low-magic game (who's going to be picking up combat expertise and improved trip ASAP - maybe as a level of fighter for his 9th level).

The biggest weakness is relies on a lot of a lot of ability scores. Wisdom is a great boon at higher levels, and Str and Dex are both always important.

Thoughts?

Maybe this should get moved to House Rules, or something more appropriate.

I saw the Swashbuckler question, and didn't think twice about starting a new thread here. Whoops.

No, I think this is the right forum. I like the kensai, but have no time to do a complex breakdown now. It's rather similar to hong's martial artist, of which I was recently reminded.

ooh, do you have a link to that? I'll probably do a search for it on these forums, but just in case there're more people interested.

thanks!

If this was a discussion concerning Arcana Unearthed strickly, it would go in the d20 system forum.

Anyway, here's a link the the above mentioned martial artist
