I'm trying to remember which of the plotlines was winter warriors. Was that the one with the girl who needed to be born and the Storm blades that were the only things that could kill the demons (stocked in a convenient chest in the middle of town no one had ever opened, see Deux ex Machina) ? And the big ugly merc who helped with the birthing? I've got them all and read them, but it's been a while.
If he's the swordsman I'm thinking of, make him a high level fighter/weapon master (sword) or fighter/duellist, and you are doing fine. I'd peg him at 15+, with probably maxed dexterity given his speed advantages (initiative and finesse, of course!).
His speed and reflexes were his prime advantages, but of course, with no Dex boosting magic, he was fighting things with Dex's in the high 20's at least, and at a distinct disadvantage.
If I'm thinking of the wrong book, write a synopsis of the plotline
==Aelryinth
