Any way to get 3rd level spells at lower levels.

I've got a bard that I'd like to make into a nightmare spinner.

One of the prerequisites is the ability to cast a 3rd level spell. As a bard, that's 7th level, and I'm not sure i need that much bard. What can i do to get access to 3rd level spells sooner, or just with slightly less bard investment?

Im sort of surprised at the lack of responses here. No one knows a way to access higher level spells earlier? Feats? Class variants?

Maybe just a prestige class more useful than bard so i still get the spells st 7th level, but with less bard investment?

Drake: I think the problem is that you've posted this as a 13th Age thread when I expect you're really talking about Pathfinder or 3.5. In 13th Age the Bard receives third level spells at level 3, but there aren't any prestige classes so there isn't a question of qualifying for anything. Maybe try the Pathfinder board?
