Was looking at this product

Anyone have it? THis product would probably only benefit some DMs, and many would prefer to create all this stuff themselves. But I for one like having prewritten descriptive text to read to players.

Has anyone bought this and been able to make good use of it?

I hadn't heard of this product, so I looked at the demo. This actually looks like a nice idea for DMs, especially one running a long dungeon crawl. The descriptions were intriguing, maybe a little too intriguing for just descriptions of random (or insignificant) areas. For example, one bit was about a line of small white stones placed every few feet for about 100 feet, after which it stops. Knowing my group, I could only use a tidbit like that only if it was significant, because they would spend hours searching for traps or clues to its meaning.

I may buy it myself. I love collecting mini-encounters, NPCs, plots hooks, etc., so that when I'm ready to run another D&D game I'll be prepared. It nice to have a little fodder to get the creative juices flowing.

Though after Bastion Press's $5 sale, $4.75 for 22 pages looks a little steep! (Just kidding)

yes, yes I do

and that's my review of it :D

You would think after a jillion posts one would figure out how to post a link by now. ;)

After checking out the preview of it I bought it right away. I've used it once so far, I'm sure I'll be finding a use for it again. I hope they make more.

the boards used to do it automatically.....

they havea book like it on caverns and one coming out on cities.

I just purchased the Cavern pdf. and will be trying it out in our next session. What I like about this specific product is that it will add some fun detail to an otherwise skipped over section of the adventure (the party's travels to an underground Dwarven stronghold). I'm not good at making this stuff up, so these descriptions are a great asset for me!

I have both and I find Caverns a bit more useful because of the parts on climbing and fantasy caves. Both are very spiffy.
