Why am I the only one who has that dream?

I dreamed that I was one of the chicks throwing pickles....

Nah, I almost never dream. Lately I have been having nightmares, but I think thats because my mom's in the hospital. Found out 2 days ago she'll be coming home in a week and after that slept pretty damn good on my Masterpiece pillowtop matress, with accompanying feather pillows. I take my sleep seriouslly :D

Actually...just one. I never remember my dreams but this one might be with me forever....

The night before I started school this year I had a dream of a girl looking at me in a classroom. We were all seated at desks. The teacher and everyone was blurry except her. She just stared into my eyes and I had this immense feeling of warmth and joy that I just can't describe. I remembered the dream when I woke up and felt kind of sad. It was a great dream.

I had forgotten about it by the time I had gotten to 3rd period. I was talking to my friend next to me and I looked up. Guess who had come sit at the exact angle that the girl from the dream had? Guess who the girl was? Yep. The girl from the Dream.

Katie by name. A very pretty girl who I just haven't been able to get out of my head since! I'd never seen her before but she'd been in my grade since Elementary school (I went checking year books)

I've managed to strike up a few conversations but it seems like some evil thing keeps getting between us. Every time we get past the first few sentences a person or event stops us from talking.

I really want to just break down and say

"Katie...I know this is really out of the blue ...but would you be interested in going out for some coffee or ice-cream or something after school today?"

But I'm to much of a coward when it comes to that sort of thing so I'm still trying to work up the courage.

Today...I saw some jock talking to her. I've got this horrible feeling (I'm not one for hunches normally) that If I don't act soon it'll be to late. But I've barley talked to her so I think she'll think that its really out of the blue and odd...

ARG....but I can't get her out of my head so I've got to do something!

Any women out there? Would you go on a date with an ok looking guy you've barley said two words to?

I think I'm going to post this in its own thread....need womens imput!

I was awakened early to go to a D&D game (the DM had moved the time up, so he had one of the players call me. If she hadn't called, I would've forgotten this dream.

In the dream, I'm at a Star Wars LARP being held at a mall. The mall had agreed that the LARPers could have free reign of all things on the premises, so things were being trashed as people had lightsaber duels and such.

The part that stands out in my mind, though, came at the very end. A pair of guys had gotten a large, round, metal-rimmed glass table, and they were rolling it across the floor into walls and stuff, trying to reenact the destruction of Alderaan. I don't recall if they actually managed to, but if it had shattered in an explosive impact, it would've looked cool.

I was intrigued by this table rolling, so I put a folding table on its side and shoved it across the hall to another LARPer. Imagine a set up like this:

|
|
|
O - - y - - - - - - x
|
G
L
A
S
S
W
A
L
L
|
|
|

I'm at x, and the guy I'm shoving the table to is at y. The big O is a doorway through the glass wall. So I shove the table, and the guy at y tries to catch it, but instead of stopping it, the force of the shove hits him and knocks him back through the door. Then the table and the guy turn the corner to the left and keep moving, eventually slamming into a solid wall. The impact knocks the guy senseless.

I run over to help as a crowd gathers to see what happened. All I can say in my defense is that I shouldn't be to blame, because there's no way that could've happened in real life. I guess I must've used the Force.

JUST ASK HER!

Because if you don't, you'll never know what might have happened...just walk over and ask her if you could talk...or something...

If you have a dream like that and then it more or less comes true then make something of it. Otherwise you'll always regret it.

But no, I've had interesting dreams lately, I just read that post and it sounded like a bunch of missed opportunities I've had!

Wow, I had weird, vivid, immersive dreams last night.

I was in a laundromat, and for some reason there was a toilet in the corner, next to a washing machine full of my clothes. I sat down to take a dump (the laundromat was full of people, natch) and when I went to wipe the whole roll of toilet paper somehow shot into the washing machine. My sex slave and one of my ex girlfriends were there, too, and I called out to her (the sex slave) to come over here (I didn't want to embarrass myself by telling the whole room that I'd dropped the whole roll in the washer) but my ex kept convincing her to keep frolicking in the sand with her (I guess the laundrette was on a beach?) Finally, I made the sex slave come over to me and whispered what I needed (new t.p.) and she gave it to me, full of remorse that it took her so long to respond to my need.

Gap in dream here....

Somehow, I knew that a supervillain named Quicksilver had escaped from his prison dimension (where he'd been locked by Johnnie Quest). He was frightfully dangerous and superfast (not the same as Marvel's Quicksilver, though). So, at a dinner party, I found Johnnie Quest and let him know that the villain was loose. Quest's face turned white. Then I left with my best friend of 20-odd years, Jon. For some reason he had me drive him around our old home town (Redding, CA- ick!) in his truck- why he didn't drive himself, I just don't know.

Weird, huh?

I dreamed last night I was on a boat to Heaven, and by some chance I had brought my dice along...

:D

You weren't by chance wearing a wide-lapeled checkered coat, were you?

Cuz if your were, whoa...

Just ask her, and tell her that you've liked talking to her the few times you've had a chance to before, so you want to get to know her better. Don't call it a date; just say that you're a little fed up that things keep getting in the way. The worst that will happen is that she'll say no. Unless an evil vindictive woman (and few people really are), she won't hold it against you. She'll probably find it cute, if nothing else.

Honestly, if she's worth getting to know, and if there is some sort of mystical connection, you shouldn't worry about being nervous. If she's a good person, that means she's not shallow, so regardless of how low your opinion of yourself might be, people can still like you.

I personally doubt it's fate, but don't take my word for it. I don't even believe in fortune cookies. ;)

:D

Damn you! That's my favorite dream line from a movie ever (even mangled).
