Right under your UserName, there's probably a line that reads Member. Probably, I say, because it occasionally says something else. From time to time we see one that says Administrator (we know who those people are), but on occasion it says something altogether different, as it does here in carpedavid's posts.

My question is, how'd he do that?

You have to become a community supporter, first. Then you get to choose your title.

Actually, I'm not sure it works that way. Anyway, I'm a community supporter and I can't change the profile under the Username (EDIT--that is, I can't do it myself. Mine was changed by Piratecat) As was stated in the thread I linked, I'm pretty sure you have to ask an administrator to get that changed.

Righty-o, only Admins and mods can change their own, everybody else needs an admin to do it for them.

Ok, dumb questions. What is a community supporter, how does it differ from simply being a member, and what does one have to do to become one?

Not that I'm going to do it just to change 'Member' to 'I'm an alien baby' or something like that. I'm just curious.
