Just downloaded the epic level handbook. I have to confess I was impressed. The non-magical classes did not seem unbalanced. I had a problem with the skill uses but that's just me. I was just wondering if anyone is playing an epic level campaign and if so, how did the characters got to be 21st level. I mean, did hey work their way up or they just made a character of the 21st level? Also, in wich setting is the campaign taking place? Did that setting had to be altered in any substancial way? And, last but not least, wich kind of enemies do they face? I mean, the average combat is composed of epic level creatures or they still face thegood old monsters?

I am starting up an epic level game. We just got done converting them from 2e. The characters are level 40-45 and it took us about 7 years to reach that level. We play in FR, but do a lot of stuff in many planes. I am still putting together the next leg of the adventure but I know the party will fight an Advanced Great Wrym Gold that is being controlled by something nasty (perhaps a Vampire Paragon Illithid Wizard).
