Anyone buy Anger of Angels yet?

I'm intrigued by it, but also a little skittish and I haven't seen any reviews yet (I know it's probably way too soon, but I was hoping someone had gotten excited over it and posted something). I have one campaign that does use "real-world" religions, but I was wondering how useful it would be in others. Any "first look" reviews?

Have it, natch.

It clefts a little closer to angels from traditional Judeo-Christian sources (Dante's / Paradise lost, etc.) than most D&Dish d20 products do.

It looks like it is oriented more towards making them playable (if powerful) races, with classes and all.

Oh, if you like what SKR has been doing with template classes on the WotC site, there are two template classes herein: half-celestial and celestial.

Can't say much more as I haven't digested it totally myself.

I have it. As Psion has said, a fair amount of it draws inspiration from Judeo-Christian concepts of the origin of angels and demons and the war of heaven.

That said, there are suggestions in the pdf of how to use the pdf in non-monolithic religions and in non-heroic fantasy games (like D20 Modern).

Good sections on fallen angels, outcasts and rebellous angels (which make for creating some unique NPCs - nothing like a tainted celestial to make things interesting)

What I read so far (like Psion, I have not given it a detailed read through), the ideas and concepts are not hard to mine for utilization in any campaign.

Just downloaded it for weekend perusal. I liked AVATAR'S HANDBOOK, BOOK OF HALLOWED MIGHT, and BOOK OF THE RIGHTEOUS - hopefully, it'll be up there in quality. Oncee BOOK OF EXALTED DEEDS comes out, we'll sure have lots of good guys to throw in to the mix...

Wow, ask and ye shall receive! ;)

I think you guys talked me into it. I was pretty much teetering on the side of buying it (and in the grand scheme of my game-buying habit, it is a rather inexpensive purchase), but I just needed hear some things about it first. Thanks!

I am such an easy mark for Malhavoc - you know, they should just have a yearly subscription and they could just send me PDFs as they come out and I'd probably use all of 'em. :D
