Anyone buy Gar'Udok's yet?

I'm curious what this has got in it, in a bit more detail than "50 pages of necromantic stuff".

And would it be worth doing another of my "comparative reviews" between that and (say) Mongoose's "Necromancy"?

J, just might be dropping his gaming budget on PDFs this time around

I have it.

He uses some of the Open Content stuff from AEG's Undead and Mongoose's Necromancy.

It's a collection of undead oriented prestige classes, monsters, feats, and templates.

I haven't delved into the crunchy bits yet, but on a quick glance it seems like a useful addition for a Necromancer character or NPC.

How useful is it for someone who owns both Undead and Necromancy: Beyond the Grave? What's the (rough) percentage of new material?

The percentage of new material? Oh, about 95% at the least.

As one of the authors of this work, I know that the inclusion of some OGC material was in an effort to encourage the usage of OGC.

On a related note, I would compare this tome with that of any d20-Necromantic material released (and to be as unbiased as possible, I'm stating this with the thought of my own material not being taken into consideration).

And hey, for only $6.95, the book is a steal!

BTW, my only complaint about the book is that I wish it could have been smaller (in terms of file size) -- 8.7 megs zipped (11.3 mb, when unzipped). Although, that should be evident enough of the immenseness of the work and the quality of the artwork offered.

Be sure to let us know your thoughts on it!

Khan, I'd have to agree with you - I feel it was as good as Necromancy and maybe Undead. (but it was the best value for the dollar by far)

I thought the inclusion of the open content to be actually nice as it didn't pretend the others weren't around.

One thing that caught my eye last night though was one spell (ageless?) that seemed verbataim with one of Necromancy's spells, only it was one level higher.

I think it's a good addition and would agree with Khan that there was plenty of new content
