Anyone else having trouble with the ToEE patch?

I did post on the Atari fourms, no help. Also I never used a "no CD hack" I have always played with the ToEE play CD, so I don't know how that would help.

I believe the "no-cd" fix was suggested because for some reason there is a security conflict between some setups and the TofEE CD access system. (I think that's the gist of it, anyway). One of the Troika Devs suggested it might help in a situation like yours but as with a lot of these buggy issues, who knows. He said you could find a link to it on the atari boards if you searched under no-cd. (By the way, I think the "no-cd fix" might itself be a no cd hack, used with Troika's blessing to get around this security issue-in other words you wouldn't be already using the cd hack, you would be putting it in place with the fix).

Might be worth a try if you have definitely got the patch from the right location(see my previous post- before the official patch, a lot of people on the atari boards thought they had found "the patch" and it was a dud.)

Patch worked fine for me, but the game is still letting my wizard learn bard spells and scribe scrolls of a few cleric spells. Also, my magic missile wand scales with my level, hehe, so it started out as two missiles (even though I only paid for a first level magic missile wand), now it fires three! Not that I'm complaining...
