Anyone ever tried LIVE Ceramic/Iron DM?

Unattainable Ideal
I was just browsing the Story Hour forum (okay, I was looking to see if anybody had posted a comment on my recent updates, I'm man enough to admit it) and I noticed a Story Hour thread titled "Kiln-Fired Ceramic DM", posted by our own mythago, and it got my mind to working.

Which happens rarely enough, I suppose, so aren't you lucky I'm sharing?

It would be kind of cool (or possibly immensely lame) to run a campaign where at the end of each session, the players give the DM a word, or a picture, that he/she has to incorporate into the next session. You'd have to be a little forgiving on what "incorporate" means, I reckon, but it might be kind of fun -- I can imagine the players waiting each session to see how their contribution is going to turn up this time around.

Anyone ever try anything like that? How'd it turn out?

I get a whole week of advance notice? I can design a campaign and setting in that time.

For an improv. GM, this is not much of a challenge.

I was in a Castle Falkenstein campaign once in which the five players took it in turns, week by week, to GM. Each GM would leave the characters in a cliffhanger, or halfway through a mystery, which the next person to GM would have to resolve. It was more or less fun depending on the improv skills of the various GMs (two were good, one okay, one poor, and one silly), but it eventually fell apart because (I think) of problems with the system and setting {i]Castle Falkenstein[/i] stank on ice, IMHO. YMMV. YDWYDWP.
