This is our national sport and its a sort of David vs. Goliath thing going on, we are the perennial underdogs (except against Iceland) and victories over one of the world powers of football is virtually akin to winning the world cup for us!
Okay, I'm sure it's a great victory for Northern Ireland. But Brazil loses games to lesser teams too--it happens all the time. It doesn't mean there's a revolution in the sport.

Though, it also doesn't mean Northern Irelandicans should be less proud of the win. I didn't see the game, but you have to be playing pretty well to take down a team like Spain.
