Anyone going to V-Con?

Unattainable Ideal
October 11th - 13th, Vancouver BC?

I ask because I'm thinking of running a really wacky Cthulhu/Dragon Fist/Charlie's Angels sort of game (no really, it makes sense) and I'm wondering if anyone from here is going and what previous cons have been like.

Thoughts, anyone? I know Monte and Sue Cook are supposed to be coming, along with James Ernest, Jonathon Tweet and Skip Williams, so that's kind of exciting.

Anyway, just wondering.

It's been years since I went to V-Con; it was the con I first played D&D, twenty-five years ago.

Heck, maybe I should go for old times sake. Thanks for posting this, barsoom.

Hey, this is great! Just for you, as a sneak preview, here's my blurb on the game I want to run:

Kung Fu Cthulhu!

Four warrior priestesses of the Demon Goddess head up into the mountains looking to solve the problems of a remote village. What they find will warp their minds and maybe even their combined mastery of the secret arts (not to mention their pulverising circle kicks) will not be enough to save them! High-kicking horror and mind-melting martial arts action meet -- it's Charlie's Angels meets Call of Cthulhu meets Dragon Fist!

Whaddya think?

I hadn't given it much thought. V-Con is mostly a sci-fi convention isn't it?

How big a gaming presence is there?
Heck, I don't know. Big enough that Monte, James, Jonathon and Skip are coming, I guess.

I just wants to run my little game, really, is all I wants.

They're primarily a scifi/fantasy con, but they're really trying to reach out to the gaming and anime communities. As it stands, the anime groups are a little standoffish, but the gaming stuff is really getting involved. :)
