I've been calling my FLGS the last week but there's no definitive date on its release so they give me the runaround. I was hoping to have for this Saturday! :/
There is a definitive release date: Friday, March 19, 2004. It is the Friday immediately after the GAMA Trade Show ends, so not all stores will necessarily have their orders placed in time to have by then, but that is the street date nonetheless.

It also happens to be the street date for Archfiends minis and Geonosis and the Outer Rim.

I got the same information as roytheodd from my local gaming store. They believe they'll have the book on their shelves either the 19th or the 26th.

19th sounds right just based on the past releases. Monthly hardback books usually come out on the 3rd Friday of the month. That's also the release date for Archfiends. :)

I loved the 2e PG:FR. But I loved most of the 2e Realms stuff.

Eh. I will say the whole "Realsmian" info on the gods and their worshippers was good. Just not sure about the rest.

Least I could read the old Player's Guide from cover to cover without falling asleep. :) But then again, that seems to be a problem with most of the WOTC books, they read like computer manuals and they are so DRY!

Is so thankful that I have the old material, since I don't think I have ever really used half of the new FR material and I always keep coming back to the 1e and 2e FR books for ideas and information......

My FLGS usually has the stuff available the day before. So, theoretically, they'll have it tomorrow.

In this case, I'm not excited enough to walk uphill both ways to get to the bloody store, and will wait until Friday, when I can get a ride. :)
