D&D 3E/3.5 Anyone have Illithid v3.5 stats?

If you can get your hands on it, I would suggest Lords of Madness. There is a whole section on the background of the Illithid as well as adventure hooks. It has new spells and prestige classes designed to work with or against the Illithids.

Good luck,

Arrel

the illithid chapter from Lords of Madness was based, a lot, on the old Illithiad book. the illithiad and the three accompanying modules can be used to add on to the modern Lords of Madness information.

Thanks. I have limited money resources, so which of all the books that concern mind flayers do you think I sould buy first? I am most interested in their stats, so that would come first, but which book? And after that?

mm is open game content, go to the wizards site but they have it w-out illustrations (so!)
Not all of it is OGC, the mind-flayers, the gith, the beholder, and I believe the inevitables are not.

psychic mind flayer: I suggest you get the MM first, it has the basics for the mind-flayer (illithid) proper and should be enough to start up your campaign if you plan on basic it on the eaters of brains. It also lists the two primary enemies of the mindflayers: Githyanki and Githzerai.
Then I suggest you get Lords of Madness as it includes pretty much everything else you need for a good mind-flayer centered campaign, but you should be able to wait to a couple of months after you got the MM for that.
If you have the old PsiHB you do not *need* to get the new one as the differences are noted in the SRD, and you only need two monsters from it anyway (Neothelid and Intellect Devourer).
Good luck with your campaign.
