After reading this thread, I just had to go out and pick up the books.
My new homebrew world is coming along nicely, and will definitely use the Sovereign Stone system -- it's great! So far, we've played six short adventures using the system, and my players love the system as much as I do.
Thanks again to Stormprince for answering all the questions... but I have one more:
The rules for learning new spells (through training or study) are very clear. Also, when you level up, the number of spells that are Intimate/Quick Reference go up.
Is there any learning of spells without going through the heavy training and such, though? Do you ever learn spells for levelling, so to speak? Did I miss that somewhere, or is the ONLY way to learn new spells through deciphering other spells or getting training?
Perhaps I'm just too ingrained in standard Vancian magic... it just seems a little odd that you might have more capacity for intimate knowledge spells than you actually have in spells known!
